Australia’s largest bank partnered again with BWD to deliver their most important public document – an annual report showcasing their strategy, financial results and sustainability performance for the 2018 financial year.
During a difficult time for the banking industry – and in line with CBA’s focus on becoming a simpler, better bank – we aimed to deliver a clear and well-structured report which would reassure stakeholders of the bank’s strong financial position and highlight its commitment to rebuilding trust in the community.
We recognised this would require a deft strategic touch. As a result, we began the process by hosting an executive workshop to discuss best practice in integrated reporting and to ensure all written contributions reflected a single voice. It was agreed that the report would be straight-forward in both tone and design, to reflect CBA’s commitment to transparency.
We worked closely with the investor relations team to deliver a report that reflected the bank’s objective of delivering for its stakeholders. Our production and design of the report (which we delivered in both print and digital) was supplemented by an annual review, a notice of meeting and shareholder emails.
