Companies increasingly recognise the value and benefits of diversity and inclusion in the workplace, including in relation to gender, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation and mobility. With over 17,000 employees worldwide, Boral asked us to assist in strategically communicating their Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) strategy that would reflect their talented and diverse workforce.
In response, we created a concept to illustrate the idea of digging below the surface to reveal layers of humanity, much as layers of minerals form below the earth. We brought the concept to life by extending the corporate colour palette to include a range of bright colours aimed at reflecting the richness and variety of Boral’s talent.
Armed with this colourful creation, Boral launched a campaign to roll-out and build awareness of D&I policy throughout the organisation. The design featured in a range of internal communications, including a 16-page booklet, a flyer, videos and presentations.
